I guess first I should say I am very frustrated that after 2 years my Iguana is still very fiesty!! I recently moved and had to leave her behind with family for a bit and I think that is the problem. Granted she never was the loving type, but she didn't bite and scratch either! I don't want to get rid of Larz (my Ig) but if this doesn't change I am going to have to. I am afraid her aggressiveness is going to hurt myself or those in my household. She/he is a good Ig and at times is the most adorable little fella anyone could see ;o) I do have to say that I wish I was more informed and educated myself better before I got into raising an Iguana. Their size and personality characteristics do not make them pets for everyone, that is for sure! But back to my question! Does anyone know of a method to use daily to get Larz to at least trust me enough so that I nor my fiance are getting bit or scratched? I want to give this a try a little longer, if I see no results, I am going to have to try and find someone in the NY area that wants a HEALTHY, good size, 2 year old Ig! Won't be that easy to find someone that is for sure. But sometimes I wonder if it would be best for her/him seeing as I dont have a whole lot of space for her/him or a whole lot of time! I honestly am very mad at myself sometimes for getting into this not knowing what I was getting into and in the end it is heatbreaking. At least I have read up afterwards and know exactly what diet is good, what lighting, what heating and so on. So that much I am proud of ;o) Well if anyone thinks they might be able to help me out, please do! You can e-mail me at amanda_coss@hotmail.com or adopted_daughter@hotmail.com or post a message here. Thank you
