here's a good link to some step by step guidelines ... i think it's actually geared towards a younger ig, but it should help in your case too ...

igs need ALOT of patience, persistence and yet more PATIENCE ... did i mention you have to be patient??? *grin* ... for the most part, they aren't ever gonna be "tame" like a cat or dog ~ they're just not! they *can* learn to trust and once they do, they *can* show affection and are pretty darned smart (IMHO!) ...
