HELP !!!! My iguana's tail !!!!????

I've only had my iguana for a couple days, yesterday when i went to pick him up, his tail was bleeding, it looks like the bone is comming throught it or something, i'm not to sure though because i can't get a good look at it. He won't let me pick him up or even touch him, he freaks out whenever i come near him, what should i do about the tail ???? is there anything that i can do ????
will he ever stop freakin out at me ???? ): This isn't my first iguana, but this has never happened to me before !!!! (:
will he be all right, and will it get infected ????
yeh i know it's a lot of questions, but if someone could please help me i would really appreciate it !!!!
