Is it okay to feed her more often?

The vet said that she is a bit on the light side. She usually stops when she's had enough. Should I attempt to tempt her with more sooner rather than later? I here people on here refering to one bowl full or three bowl fulls but I'm not sure what a bowl full means at this point. She seems to enjoy eating from our hands more than just going to her dish so it's harder to keep track of the amount she's eating.
