I was referred by someone on the acmepet herp board for more help with this question. I have 2 lizards (Iguana and Bearded Dragon) and 2 purebred cats. I really want to let my iguana do a supervised roam in our house. I would of course lock up the cats during this roam. My question is since lizards are know potential carriers of salmonella and cats are known carriers of toxoplasmosis, is there any risk of them contracting eachothers stuff by being in contact with the same environment? The iguana puts his toung on everything and the cats rub on and smell everything. I really think the iguana would love the occasional roam but I dont want any harm to come to either the cats or the lizard. Any advice would be great!
