I have cats and Lizzy the Ig....

I do not let Lizzy roam but in one room and her cage. If she comes into another room it is with me.
Keeping her quarters clean all the time and making sure she herself is clean, good idea.
The cats and Lizzy are in the same room but never in close contact.
Reason I do this, don't want any confrontations. They all seem to coexist now and it's been since August 1998 that I first got Lizzy as an iglet.
I guess the saying cleanliness is next to Godliness comes to mind for me. I always wash my habds after cleaning behind Lizzy or the cats and have never had any problems with cross contamination.
Also vet visits play an important part in my household.
By the way I have 10 cats at home and also fish.
