Hi - I rescued the ig today. I think it is a she...
Anyway - I have named her Zoe. So far she is eating ok (not great, but ok)... fell off the top basking shelf onto the floor into the cat pan of water 3 x's...
Finally she has learned to climb the ramps back up! She was in a one level rabbit cage for 5 or 6 years so she was unfamiliar with climbing. She did BIG poops too! wow!
With help from my husband & sister, we clipped her nails (which were sooo long that her toes have deformed sideways & crooked) and managed to get some very old shed off of her.
The shed we got off was so old that it was LAYERS... you could actually peel apart about 3 layers! Has anyone ever see that happen? And these layers were BLACK & so hard like alligator skin.
It was so hard & thick. I took a scan of a piece from by her dewlap.
I also posted (although they are blurry - sorry. I have to work on fixing the web cam) pics of her black "scars" on her back.
Any ideas on this? Please go to my photopoint site for Zoe & have a look...
-Kim
