i went back today to the reptile store and told them what happened. surprisingly they understood and with no problem they gave me another, that right there told me they knew he was sick. The ig i brought home has those red mites on him too. is that normal on larger igs, none of my igs have ever had them so i am a bit uneducated on them.he keeps scratching and my mom is terrified to keep our dog out on the porch with him. I took qtip with vaseline to take off the majority of them and i also bought something to hang from the cage to kill all the mites and bugs i dont recall the name of it but i was curious if you all know if they work or not? Without a doubt i am going to take him to the vet to get a blood test, but is there anything else i need to tell the vet to lookover, i mean to test something particular. Thank you all for reading and helping me with the whole adoption thing. its strange and sad not knowing an igs past and considering how neglected it could have been. This reptile store, like many, put a large number of 3-5 year old igs in one cage so they can claw and tear one another up until someone comes along to buy one.
