i don't know about the disease part .... but you'd want to quarrrentine (?) new animals anyway to be on the safe side ....
the soft-hearted part of me (didn't know i had one, didja!?!?) says "oh hurry up and rescue them!"
also some will say you should return them to the wild since they're wild-caught ..... (i'm not even getting into THAT discussion....)
don't think i'm helping much .... you sound like a reptile kinda person tho .... i'd be inclined to tell you to go for it, if you've got the time + $ to do some nursing of igs for awhile .....
i hope you have a BIG house *grin*
hey .... how big do desert igs get anyway?????
THAT would make a BIG difference too ....
