UH-OH is right.
First off, what state are you in? If you're in the deep south, it will be better for the iguana. I'm guessing since it was caught outside, that it's the deep south. Chances are that's a "wild" iguana and it may have developed fears of humans. Which means, it might not want to crawl back out that hole because of the humans in the house.
I would suggest cutting a large portion of the wall under the sink out. Hopefully there's no insulation in the walls, if there is, this could cause more problems, not only now but later after you recover the iguana. Anyway....back to the hole, once you have the hole opened up, get a mirror and a flashlight and see if you can locate the iguana. Also, check downward to see what kind of holes exit the wall under the house (drain pipe holes, etc..) to see if the iguana could get out of the wall down below. If there's a hole big enough, you need to block it with something that the iguana won't be able to move.
OK, now back to the iguana, it sounds like it's trying to climb up the walls, sooner or later it will get tired of holding it's self up there and will decide to come down. Being quiet in the house will help, I think the more noise it hears, the more it's scared. Leave a light shining into the hole and walk away.
Side note: If it's a wild iguana, I would suggest returning it back to where it was found. It's stressed and will continue to be, even after you recover it for a while because of it being wild. If you're located at the bottom of Florida, wild iguanas are becoming a normal thing.
Best wishes and if there's any other questions, let us know.
