First off, igs are diurnal, so letting them free-roam when it's night-time ain't so great. Sure, people who work all day do it, but being cold blooded, their instincts tell them to go to bed when the sun's out.

As for the heat lamp. Igs know best when to bask, when to cool off, and as previously mentioned, go to bed. If they do not feel the need to warm up, they won't.
My Soni gets pretty lethargic in the evening, and refuses to leave his 8'sq. cage. He just stays a bit warm, and when the timer hits the lights, it's sleepy-time.

I would reconsider letting them mout so late. Igs are active during the day, so therefore seek out heat to energize to carry-on activities. In the evening and at night, as I myslef personally observed with Caribbean iguanas, they seek shelter from the cool evening, even where heat sources and food are available. They're day is over, that's it. They do not need the heat you offer them, which is why they dont use the heat lamp. They know it's time to go to bed, not basking time!
In the daytime, Soni roams all-over, and if provided a heat-lamp, he's there right away, happy as he can be. After 6-7:00 pm, he's out of sight, into his cozy cage.

Reconsider the roaming hours. And don't offer any food @ night either!
Anymore q's, just ask ok?

Regards,

Ig Joe

: i let bob (baltaszar) and magenta free roam about 2-4 hours every night i bought an extra heat lamp to place in a corner of the room where if they get cold they can seek it out but they never do i showed it to them and still they dont go to it do they not need to or what theyre temps worry me cause when i gather them back up and put them in theyre cages they seem cold
