>>Igs like to forage during the day, and are usually ready to eat after they warm up in the morning... >>

but then there are igs like iZ, who seem to feel it's their duty in life to do everything backwards and be the exception to all the guidelines / "rules" ...

iZ is almost 5yo and has *never* been big on eating early in the day ... he thinks breakfast is something to play with and see how far across the room you can tail-bat it ... tho sometimes, it makes a really nice pillow to lounge on all day ...

he still gets a fresh salad every morning and 75% of the time it doesn't get eaten ...

now, part of this may be because he + i have developed the habit of him going to the bathroom about 4-5pm (cuz i work 1st shift) ... after tub time is supper ... it's possible he just doesn't feel hungry til his gut's emptied out ... but he pIGs out in the late afternoon!

his room stays at 75-80 degrees at night, 85-90 during the day ... i think *that* is the key more than the time of day, that they *do* stay warm enough to digest ... yes, in the wild they need sun for warmth, but in iowa, they have their own room that has it's own heating system ...

:)
