Merlin Update

Merlin is doing fine. The other night he had a 3 1/2 hour adventure. My son had him on his shoulder in his bedroom and Merlin did his flying squirrel act off his shoulder and on to the floor and promply ran under the dresser and disappeared. The room was immediately sealed off and the search began. Everything was picked up, looked under and sorted through. It was a slow process and very carefully done. When he was finally found in a corner of the closet, he jumped into my hand. I wanted to tell him he was a bad, bad, little ig. But instead he immediatley looked up at me and told me "i was so scarced, i ran and hid, but no one came to get me. where have you guys been?" I almost had to laugh at the expression on his face. There was a point where I remembered some advise on this forum for setting up a light and food in the middle of the room to entice a lost ig out of hiding. But we found him. I think I am going to find that message though and print it out for future reference.
