We had an experience like that the other day. Dexter was sitting on my shoulder while I was doing my homework, and eventually he climbed up to the top of my head and I thought he was taking a nap. I completely forgot about him and a few hours later I went to his cage and..GASP! It was empty! That was when I realised that Dexter was MIA.
So I searched the room, and about half an hour later I looked up at a painting of a forrest on my wall and-lo and behold!-he was hanging from it! Right in front of my face the whole time and blending in with the background.
I figured he must've jumped off my head onto the curtain, and took another leap onto the top of the painting and hung from the frame. Silly lizard...
