Maybe someone here can help you with this problem; I'm not familiar with it. However, DO NOT pour listerine on that iguana!!! I can only think that it would do much more harm than good & may possibly have something in it that would be toxic. I know that you aren't supposed to use Lysol products around them & can't imagine the same wouldn't hold true for Listerine much less pouring it on him.
As for transporting......we had to take our female to vet and she's over 4 ft. long including tail. Took her in a big box with holes in it & the lid TAPED shut (they are going to hit at it). It will need to stay in your arms at all times to prevent the iguana from making an escape hatch. I'm assuming you will use public transportation of some sort. Even if you drove yourself, it would be safer to have someone along to hold the box.
Hopefully, someone here will know about this skin problem.
