First of all, a few days ago when this person posted I was friendly, and informative telling asnwering his questions. Then we got into a debate over baby iguanas being "easier" than adults.
Secondly, you say "do you really think your comments help anything?" Well for one if no one ever talked about pet store abuse, iguana adoptions, iguana neglect, iguana myths and facts, no one would know anything and nothing would get done about the iguana problem in North America today.
Should we instead pretend people don't have the option to adopt and graciously inform them they made wonderful choice? Should we pretend he didn't buy this iguana from a pet store a few days after posting "he was thinking about it" should we ignore the fact pet stores are selling iguanas to neglectful abusive home? No, someone HAS TO SAY SOMETHING.
People need to realize a more bold approach is needed to save the thousands of iguanas who are abused and neglected each year.
I am sorry I didn't give him a pat on the back from buying an iguana from a pet store, and I am sorry I didn't congradulate him. But in my opinion making the problem of pet store abuse and impluse iguana buying worse, and making the demand for more baby iguanas worse is not something to be congradulated.
If tomorrow people would STOP buying iguanas from pet stores it would save thousands of lives in the long run. Not only that but if pet stores stopped selling iguanas, there would still be plenty for adoption and plenty of "babies" sold by private people.
I am sorry you found me to be "negative" but how can I or anyone be positive about pet stores selling iguanas? How can someone turn cheek and not inform someone there are better ways to get an iguana? As a caring, responsible pet owner I want to help out future iguanas, not educate people after they buy them, but BEFORE. And let people know pet stores should NOT be selling IGUANAS!

: Do you really think your comments help anything? One of the reason i come to this site is to read about iguana's and share stories...and maybe even learn something new. If you have bad comments why not keep them to yourself. being negative doesn't help anyone....Not even an iggy~~
