the one 'golden rule' is Don't Feed Animal Protein!

Jen Swofford has excellent diet info at her site and it's what i use as a guideline for iZ ...

there's alot of balancing/juggling involved cuz no two igs (from different families) are gonna eat the exact same diet ... Mustard greens are good but iZ absolutely *Refuses* to eat them so they're not included in his diet ... he *Loves* dandelions and there's alot of them in his salad, but not everyone can find good dandelions ... i know it feels *very* confusing at first cuz there really is no cut + dried answer to the diet question, just guidelines ... it's important to do alot of reading, asking of questions, thinking + deciding for yourself cuz there's just not the long-term research/info on iguana diets ... yet ...

but to help you get started here's some basics ... *grin*

good stuff:
Collard greens
Mustard Greens
Dandelion Greens
Endive
Escarole

small amounts of fruit are ok ... iZ gets fruit with his supper salad every nite ...

avoid lettuce (including romaine), kale, chard

use in small amounts + infrequently:
broccoli, beans/legumes

i'm sure others can add to this ...
