To all of you out there:
Can any of you tell me about how much a general check up for an Iguana costs?
Habib seems to be wonderfully healthy, but from reading about all the many things they can eat accidentally, and also about how they can become sick rather quickly, I've decided to go for the full Vet check up. Money is tight for me right now, so I wanted to know upfront about how much money I'll need to save ahead of time.
Also,
1) What are some things I should specifically ask my vet to check him for? In other words, what do you consider to be essential in a general check up? Are x-rays expensive? Worth the money? A luxury?
2) Should I take a stool sample even if I don't suspect anything is wrong with him?
3) What types of things did you wish you had known to ask about or to do before you took your Iguana's in to the doc for the first time?
