New pet Iguana

Hi ,
I just bought my son an iguana for his birth day, and we wanted to know if we should follow any instructions in caring for him. We have the little guy, pet store says its a baby, in a 20 gallon fish tank with a heat rock and water, also bought special lights and have been feeding him dandelion greens , mushrooms, mustard greens and baby iguana food from store. It tries to hide everytime we go near , and runs away from us in a crazy way. I am worried that it may not be adjusting to its new home. Also how long should the lights be left on, and are there any good web sites to tell how to care for them?? Thanks for your help.
