Hmmmmmmmmmm, Yes your ig is a baby. It is normal for baby igs to be flighty around people so don't make swift movements around him (hey, he doesn't know you won't eat him) I actually would buy a much bigger cage for him, go for a 40-100 gal. that should do it for a while. When he's full grown at 5-6 feet long he'll need a HUGE cage (and they can be expensive so start saving).Yes, you should definitely use instuctions for caring for iguanas, go out and read every single book you can get your hands on about them.
