I've just gotten a baby ig and have had him for 3 days now. I really can't say he's eating, it does'nt seem like it. Any way I've been waiting for him to poop so I can see if he's eating. Finally today I put him outside in a screen cage and he did a decent poop but there was a lot of water; so my question is, do igs peepee? May seem silly but I've got lots of reptiles, but have never seen this amount of liquid with a poop.
Secondly, I'm concerned about the sunning issue. Did it take the sun for him to go potty? He's very small (12" including tail) and is in a 29 gal tank, I was thinking of changing him to an empty 55 that I have. I use Uvb, and have a 100 watt lamp over his basking rock. It seems to me 95 degrees should be warm enough. I mean he did poop in the sun, but he was also standing with his mouth wide open from the heat. If the sun is going to be that important to him, what will I do this winter? Another thing, I read they change colors when they go outside, he stayed exactly the same color, bright lime green.?
