Injury... how should I treat?

My 4 foot female took a bite directly under her right eye, still on the soft part, from her cage mate. It happened three days ago, and when I noticed it the blood was just starting to dry. So immediately I cleaned the cut out with water and put some neosporin on it, and I've been repeating that twice a day for the past 2 days. The cut seems to have scabbed up, but it's big, dry and hard like a pebble, and the entire right side of her face seems a little bit inflamed. The bite didn't affect her eye, which she is blinking normally, nor her normal routine or feeding habits. But does this sound like a normal, healing cut or is it maybe getting infected? Any info would be appreciated!
