This is a copy of the menu he includes. I would say the "book" is up-to-date and accurate. But again, I personally gained nothing, as literally everything in the "book" is something I've read somewhere before, either through another book, through this wonderful forum, or through the many other great resources on the Net.

He does stress the importance of not feeding lettuce and explains how it is responsible for much of the suffering and premature death seen in iguanas. He notes how authors who have spent time observing will green iguanas agree on what they eat, which is essentially leaves, flowers, and fruits. He speaks of Calcium/Phosphorus balance and a little of goitrogenic compounds. Also, vitamin supplementation.

He does speak of the importance of sun, the artificial uvb. He states that although Anna gets outside so much that she surely gets all the sunlight she needs, he still uses two 4-foot uvb tubes. Zoo Med Iguana Light 5.0 UVB, to be exact. He uses brand names such as this many times throughout the "book."

He starts out the book with a reprint of an article from the New York Times, entitled "The Long Tale of Madonna the Iguana." I'm not sure why he chose this, except, I suppose, perhaps he saw something positive in it, which I, personally, fail to see. But that's really just a sidenote from me, I'm not sure it would really have an affect on anyone else one way or the other.

And yes, throughout the "book" he speaks of "life with Anna," which makes it a little more interesting than it otherwise would have been for me.

Again, I'm not saying it's a bad "book," just that I don't think it was worth *my* $40.
