Hello,
I'm new to this forum and I just thought I'd tell everyone hi and tell you a little about my ig, Spike. Well he's a three year old male. He's about four feet long now. He's kinda of an odd color, a mixture of greens, blues, greys, browns, and black stripes and spots...He is slowly becoming more friendly, well to me.
I was also wondering if anyone has heard anything good or bad about the fluorescent lights that go by the name "verilux". I got one for Spike a couple monthes ago. It seems to be good, the company claims that it emits 3/4 of the original uvb output after a year of use.
Does anybody else have young children in their homes? What precautions do you take? My son isn't allowed to touch my ig or anything that comes in contact with him. My son does love to watch Spike eat and rest in his "sunlight" through the glass doors of his cage.
