Still need to know the wattage & type of the bulb....Also how long have you been using the Active Heat. I don't think you can blame the light...if its been less than 6 months since using it. I'd up the calcium content in his diet...either by omitting the peppers & carrots(high phosphorus/oxalates) or supplementing with a pure cal carbonate. Choose orange fleshed squashes like spaghetti or butternut...better calcium phosphorus ratios than yellow or green (acorn Im assuming) squash. He could be dehydrated as well. Its important to know the temps! 2ft long?...stl (snout to tip of tail) or svl (snout to vent). An inadequate diet has a direct relationship on stunted growth. Definately look at ways to rehydrate him, up the humidity and changing his diet a bit and you should be seeing some improvement in 2 months. As for the Active Heat Lamp causing the problem...need alot more info!
