: Still need to know the wattage & type of the bulb....Also how long have you been using the Active Heat. I don't think you can blame the light...if its been less than 6 months since using it. I'd up the calcium content in his diet...either by omitting the peppers & carrots(high phosphorus/oxalates) or supplementing with a pure cal carbonate. Choose orange fleshed squashes like spaghetti or butternut...better calcium phosphorus ratios than yellow or green (acorn Im assuming) squash. He could be dehydrated as well. Its important to know the temps! 2ft long?...stl (snout to tip of tail) or svl (snout to vent). An inadequate diet has a direct relationship on stunted growth. Definately look at ways to rehydrate him, up the humidity and changing his diet a bit and you should be seeing some improvement in 2 months. As for the Active Heat Lamp causing the problem...need alot more info!

I've been using the heat light for about 6 months but the guy that sold me the light said I didn't need to use any vitamins with his food because of the light so I stopped using it - the wattage is 250 UV Heat light--that new active heat bulb. This is what I did for today - I put the heat light on for only 3 hours and the rest of the day I am going back to the regular heat light and UV bulb--using the emitter only when he sleeps--also, I will add some vitamins like I use to do and see how that works--it just seems that since I started using this light, he has not shed and before he was shedding regularly plus he hasn't grown in a long time - he is 2 ft- stl--and 2 years old--kinda small, no? Also, I will change his diet and see if that works.
