Juana has been going thru one *really* difficult shed. Been going on 3 weeks now...Her head, dewlap, tail and legs are ok now...but majority of her spikes, and her sides ...the dead skin just will NOT budge....I just don't know what to do! Ive tried lots of baths...the humidity in her cage is good. Ive tried aloe vera gel, KY, misting her several times a day. And not much improvement at all! Asked the vet about it and he didn't feel it was cause for alarm and to "keep working on it"...but then Maders says after 2 weeks shed should come off or else it may begin bacterial infection. I just wish there was something like a sand blaster I could use to get this stuff off...and if I pick at it she gets super cranky! Its really starting to bother me...Seems like the aloe vera/ and KY when it dries kinda "glues" the shed on her spikes and makes it more harder to get them off. Anymore ideas....short of restraining/ forcing her to endure my picking? Which Im going to do pretty darn soon!
