if she will fit put her in a wet pillow case. this will make sure that her spikes stay moist for a while thus allowing you to pick them off easier. my ig has probs with her spikes also. there are a few of them with dried skin. as long as it doesn't stop circulation in the spikes it should be all right. never had any bacteria infections with mine.
