Using the numbers stated in the article:
if 2500 cases are reported, then 2% of those are allegedly retile related
if 1500 cases are reported, then 4% are reptile related
if only 1% of all cases are reported then, using their numbers: then there are 250, 000 cases with 6000 reptile related or again: 2%
if 10% of cases are reported, then there are 25, 000 cases, or again 2% reptile related.
The question should be: what is causing the other 98% of salmonella cases that are not reptile related.
