HELP!!! wierd mouth!!

I noticed today that Hito is developing like a crust in the BACK of its lips... I scrapped some of that crust softly with a toothpick and they look like grains of salt...
His legs look normally, they dont look fat like the description of MBD affected igs, and the front of his mouth closes normaly, he is acting normally, jumps and climbs, etc
The vet that treat exotics is on vacations till next tuesday and i dont trust the other vets that work only w dogs and cats or the students...Should i try to scrape all that "salt"??
Im worried... hope is not MBD... I feel like a bad mom :-(
