Sounds to me like salt deposits from his sneezing! Which is totally normal albeit messy!
Wipe him up real good with a warm wash cloth....hopefully this is all it is....Im not trying to minimize your worry....but wouldn't it be great if all it is ...is salt?? Post back if his mug won't come clean...and we'll try again!
