Well yeah the combo would take care of the constipation problem but I don't know if you want to add the magnesium component...your starting to get into territory where you can upset the delicate balance of calcium-magnesium-phosphorus, gastric ph, and electrolytes that he needs. Have you run this past his vet? I myself would continue with just the ampho and just realize that constipation is going to be a side effect...maybe up the fiber in his diet like reconsituted prunes every other day added to his slurry...don't know...oh..and make sure you DO NOT give him any Calcium Citrate supplement if you do go the Gelusil route....will speed up the aluminum & magnesium absorption and he WILL ....be in big trouble (kid stones).

I truly think its amazing the progress and fight that big galoot IZ has got! This is so marvelous IZ's Mom to see how much dedication you have put into caring for him! I'd be interested to see what Dr. Harkherp has to say about it...he usually responds within 24 hours...Just this am found the Reptile & Amphibian Vet Board over at VIN but didn't see your post there. Still haven't put much effort into navigating around there (Been in Arkansas! just got home late last night)..well... doubt that I helped but gave it a shot!
