HELP having a problem giving shots...

I bent three needles yesterday trying to give Ea his shots! The scales on his frpnt leggs are too hard,I could not get the needle in. When the vet showed me it looked so easy. I was going to take him to the emeregenct vet last night but they wanted $100 just to show me how to give the shot! The guy who works in the injection room( I work at a hospital) told me he would come by tomorrow and help me (hope he knows what he is getting himself into!). The em vet also said I could try to do it in his front armpit but I would have to pull the stopper back and look for blood, but he moves too much and I just want to get it done quick. The infection is clearing up nicely hopefully no amputation.

a few tips (But giving injectables suck, period!) dslizards 03/11/00 (0)
Go underneath and between individual scales. If you try to go through the scale, it'll bend every time. n/p BJ 03/10/00 (0)
