Well...I just received an e-mail regarding this forum and I'm thrilled to be a part of it. To tell you the truth, I'm a little unsure of how these forums work. I have an 8 month old iguana, Floyd. He's approximately a foot and 1/2 in length..but it doesn't seem to me like he's growing much..although all the skin he's shedding right now seems to be a good sign. Maybe I still have "new parent syndrome", but I just never feel like I'm giving him everything he needs. He eats well (better than me at times), even though it took him a while to really start eating. I have him in a 30-gallon tank right now..but that is soon to change. I'm moving in 3 months and my boyfriend and I are then going to build him an "iguana paradise". He's got a heat lamp and a Vita-lite. I handle him daily, and as soon as the weather warms up I can't wait to take him out so he can get the "real thing". I would love to let him roam the apartment..but it's just not iguana-proofed. Every time I let him wander..he finds his way under the heating vents that run the length of the room. He's also very aggresive when I approach him to turn off his lights at night.

I don't really know what particular advice I'm looking for...but I just wanna be a good "Mommy".
