Another dumb question, This time on how often to feed.

I feed Lizzy at about 7:30 am as I have to be at work my 8. I have noticed on the weekends that she eats later, say 10 or 11. She normally finishes the morning meal by the time I come home for Lunch everyday as it is gone I will put some fresh in for her, this she usually just picks at and does finish it all. I give her the fruit in the morning as that is when she eats most. I read that you should put the day lights on and give them some time to warm from the evening cooler times before feeding. is this okay?
