I know that with you having to leave for work, you're sorta low on options.

I think it's ok to leave the food for her -- she'll eat when she warms up.

I've seen on other sites that supposedly IG's pick at food all day, as opposed to eating one (or two) big meals all at once, but that hasn't been my experience with Booger.

I let Booger bask and wam up for a while in the morning, then I take her to the tub for her soak/poop. I then let her relax for a little while before I bring her her food. She is generally hungry by this time, and quite willing to devour everything in sight.

Of course, I'm home all day, so I have adjusted her feeding ritual until it "works". As I said, you don't really have that liberty, so just do the best you can.

Lastly, by my understanding, IG's will basically eat until they've had enough. So, if when you get home all the food is gone you might try leaving more, or conversly if you return to lots of food left try leaving a little less for her.
