Iguana tail injury

We have a baby iguana that the entire family loves. He/she likes to be held, petted and seems to be enjoying life here. I have a problem, though. We have had him/her for several days and his/her tail came off. I am very nervous about this. we do not want to return him even though that is an option under the warrentee. Has anyuone elsehad an iguana that had a tail brake off? What should I do for our iguana Ralph?
