: I use a mister with room temperature water, she seems to like that as she closes her eyes and turns her head to get the water all over. I especially do this in the summer months to lizzy as we live in Chicago where it gets very humid and we have no air. Is this a good thing? I just went home for lunch and gave Lizzy some fresh food and misted her a little and talked to her. Hope I am not doing something I should not be. She even licks the water from the leaves, even though she has two containers, one for drinking and a shallow one for bathing.

hi yes i mist my 2 year old iguana ivy but now he seems to like the bathtub better i also use the bathtub as a training device i fill it with 2 inches of warm water so he can bathe and shed some of his dead skin also he goes poop in the water now instead of hiscage it helps to keep his cage clean hes getting potty trained. after you take him out of the tub clean tub with bleach and water to kill germs and rinse with clean water also always wash your hands with antibacterial soap. flush his poop down your toilet.misting is good you dont have to go home at lunchtime to mist mist in the morning and when you come home at night also if your new to iguanas buy a book to help you out
