Misting is fine-- I mist mine when they are in the sun--baking! However, he doesn't seem to appreciate it that much, although he tolerates the mist. He actally prefers the bathtub water kindof squirted on him with my hand directing it from the faucet. Since he gets that daily (potty trained that way) I don't mist as often, but misting is beneficial.
