Me again, please post your temps???

Ok, just wanna get some feedback on your temps, day, night, basking?
My basking area gets to about 94-95, right under the light. Everywhere
else during the day is around 77, can't seem to get it any higher?
The aquarium is about 21 inches high, the top is open, except for the UVB light
and dome light! During the day the upper part where the UVB is gets around 82.
My IG was on the very bottom today when I got home didn't care to bask?
At night, my temp is 75 everywhere, except right under the 25 watt black light, its
around 83? I just think this is too low, but what would you suggest for me to get the
overall temp higher? I could use a ceramic heat during the day on the cool side, but how
far do they penetrate and what size would I need, would this help?
I just put a heating pad under half the tank, the glass is really thick
and I have carpet also, gonna see if that helps?
Anyone else ever used a 55G and got the heat up, I guess I could cover the top more, but want to
allow the right circulation. Post me your temps so I can compare and any ideas about this.

Just measured mine--from 80 to 93 degrees n/m xta 02/09/00 (1)
- this was for daytime (night time dropped a few degrees on each side) n/m xta 02/10/00 (0)
