Hey Jason, I'd like to start this post by stating that I do not take offense of you disagreeing with me. I truely believe we all learn from disagreements.I welcome the info you post and hope we can debate/discuss the issues. Sometimes we just need to agree to disagree....:)
I do agree with you that ones Vet is quite abit more knowledgeable about its problems then any of us can be. My post was that I'm surprised the Vet recommended Doggie bisquits not don't follow its care instructions. I understand that the bisquits are high(in some cases) in protein but understand that most recent research(ers) (Kaplin,Hatfield,Swords,etc..) recommend No animal protein. I agree with you that young Igs need protein. I am curious as to why you believe its ok to feed them and what research you are baseing this on. Also why is it only ok to feed them till they are about a yr old? Does it become bad protein at that time?
I think we both agree on the fact that too much of any one thing will more then likely cause some sort of problem(with the exception of possibly love...hehe!) I feel that tofu(in very small amounts) would supply the extra protein(if thats what we're saying this ig needs) without the animal protein. What do you think?
I'd like to finish this post like I started it by saying this is meant to be a positive discussion on Animal protein in our Igs diets. I have been told I write like a bull in a china cabinet. I do not mean to offend anyone but hope to provoke a good discussion/debate.
