stiff tail on iguana

my iguanas tail seems wierd,
she is four foot long, and the first foot of her tail (from base) seems to be stiff and inflexible, but then the tail is normal for the rest of the way down.
Is this normal? if she is in a tight space she can't turn around because the tail is ss stiff. Otherwise she seems healthy...
what to do???
any input would be appreciated.
