that is weird!
does it shed right?
some old skin may be rapped very tightly around it, but then again you would have seen it, and "helped" it shed.
possible internal injury as well, or some problem with the muscles of the tail.
best thing to do is to go to a vet.
trust me, you and the ig will feel better.
hopefully someone will clearly help you out on this one. still though, a vet is the best choice when dealing with these problems.
