Iguana trust...

You guys sound like your Iguana's trust you with your lives. My Iguana will bite be let alone let me pick him up. I soaked him for the first time today. He fially showed sings of shedding as soon as I dried him with a towel. How long will it take for my Ig to trust me like that?
