you know it's funny...
usually reptiles become more aggressive when outside under natural sunlight, and stay calmer under artificial UV inside.
you got quiet a nasty rebel!
temporary isolation is good, but you can later make him associate certain people with good things.
you know Vicks vapor for sore throats and coughs?
(comes in a gel-lotion)
put a small amount on yourself and in the cage.
he'll smell it all the time, and when he'll smell you, he'll associate you as a neutral presence.
when offering treats especially, "wear the prefume". he'll associate the smell with something pleasant.
when he'll be newly adopted by someone, advise to the new owners to do the same for the first few weeks.
it works like a charm with varanids, and hopefully with the ig too.
good luck finding him a home!
