(i agree with HD ~) you want the enclosure to feel as little like an enclosure as possible, keep it "open" as possible ... even a *HUGE* enclosure with solid walls is going to feel more like a prison/cage than a nice, happy place to hang out ... igs are born to live in trees and hang out all day, looking at stuff ... you can't do that if you have solid walls, even if you had windows, it's not gonna be the same thing ... again, it's a perception thing ... you want to make it *feel* open + airy, not closed in ...
but keep in mind, you're really only heating it to an extra 10-15 degrees more than the room it's in (assuming your house is about 65-70 degrees in the winter) ... depending on the size of the enclosure + it's location (you really don't want to put it up against *2* outside walls if you live where it gets cold) it's really not that difficult to maintain a warm enough environment with 1-2 heat lamps ...
also keep in mind, that using glass or plexiglass on the sides of the enclosure makes a *huge* difference in heat retention ... not to mention humidity ...
