SAND???

Had someone tell me iguanas eat sand for nutritional value - had to get Calci-sand for the extra calcium. They got 25 lbs just for the iguana to eat.

Am I missing something?!?! Sand causes impactation. Someone explain if any (except the old man was a psycho!)
