I feel that in no way is calci-sand good for any reptile. I have used it previously for desert animals and have had problems ranging from impaction to eye irritation. The problem lies in the fact that it is too heavily polished down. If you have a need for a sand substrate either use repti-sand or a sand that is distributed by golden gecko. Both sands are not nearly as polished, and are safer to use. However what kinda moron must you be to use bedding as a supplement. Sounds as good as using pine shavings to help my monitor with fiber.
