My female ig is 3 years old. The thing is she does not like for me to pick her up. When I try to get her out of the cage, she runs from one side of the cage to the other. But once I have her in my hands, she is calm. I know igs have different personalities and they don't really liked to be picked up, but when its time to clean her cage or take her to the vet, it is a nightmare cuz she won't let me pick her up. I once read that when igs are young, you should handle them a lot so they will get used to you. I did that, but it didn't seem to work. I know there is probably nothing I can do to make her more docile, but do you have any suggestions as to how I can at least pick her up? If she ever got loose in a vets office, I would probably end up chasing her around forever trying to pick her up. Any tips?
