After reading all this for days, I felt I had to go over and see what was going on. I read the entire string, and what I saw was a posting of an honest question by a person who seemed to be genuinely concerned about the health of his moniter. Instead of simply answering the question and making suggestions, (ie. being helpful in general) there were a few that chose to chastize him for asking. If we expect to help others and improve the quality of life for all our lizard friends in general, this is NOT the way to do it. I hate to think of how many others may have questions but don't ask in fear of being put down by the very people that should be helping them. I also hate to think where my Rex would be now if I was ever afraid to ask a question. Maybe slowly dying under the improper so called UVB "bulb" the pet store sold me? Or perhaps becoming malnourished from the iceberg lettuce and carrots I was told to feed him. I shudder at the thought. For all the constant preaching about proper diet & husbandry we all seem to do, it is strange that a person asked for help and was cut down in the process. The way I see it, that's working ourselves backwards from the progress that could be made.
Sorry for rambling :)
